Okay, so I asked this elsewhere, but have still gotten no responses. I'm auditioning for Avenue Q, and I really want the part of Gary Coleman. I need a comedic musical theatre song in the style of the show for a mezzo/alto. I'm at a loss here. Suggestions?

Lemme know whatcha think!

Just keep singing! Lalalalala

Alto/Mezzo Anon: try Après un Rêve by Fauré! Listen to Kiri Te Kanawa singing it, it's beautiful!
For the anon! There is a french aria called "Va! Laisse Couler Mes Larmes" the highest it goes is an F, it's absolutely beautiful and at a good difficulty level. I hope this helps!
Hey, I was wondering if you and your followers could help me out? I am an alto/mezzo and in need of a french solo. Any ideas? Thanks!

I’m very sorry, but I haven’t a clue in the foreign language category ^^;;; Followers, help the anon out? > 3<;;;

Just keep singing, Lalalalala!

Maybe the anon could try a Cole Porter work, or Roger’s and Hammerstein.  Like “If I Loved You” from Carousel or “You’re the Top” from Anything Goes.   Those composers write duets about love in almost every show.
